On October 17, 2023, it will have been five years since cannabis was legalized for non-medical use, production and sale in Canada, making Canada the first major industrialized country to provide legal and regulated access to cannabis for non-medical purposes. As with all products regulated by government, it is usually to the detriment of the consumer, especially when the government is on the take. Not only has the THC levels decreased, but the costs to consumers has sky rocketed due to taxes and overhead for warehousing and retail store fronts.
